How To Play

My City - Boat adventures is a strategy board game designed for 2 to 4 players aged 10+. The game is about managing resources, building structures, and piloting boats through the waterways of a bustling city. The game board depicts a vast city with rivers and canals running through it. At the start of the game, each player receives a set of building tiles and resource cards. Players take turns placing their building tiles on the board, with each tile placed earning them victory points. Each tile is also assigned a resource type (such as wood, stone, or iron) that can be used to build more tiles or upgrade existing ones. Players can also build boats, which they can use to move along waterways, collect resources or transport goods to other players' buildings. Ships can also be used to transport workers, who can be placed on buildings to gain extra victory points.
The game is played in eight rounds, each consisting of three phases: a building phase, a ship phase, and a scoring phase. During the building phase, players take turns placing one of their building tiles on the board. This card must be adjacent to one of their existing cards or a starting card, and the resource type must match the adjacent card. Players can also use their resource cards to buy new tiles or upgrade existing tiles. Upgraded tiles are worth more victory points and yield more resources. During the ship phase, players take turns moving their ships along the waterways. Each ship can move a certain amount of space, depending on its size. Players can collect resources from the spaces they pass through, or transport goods to other players' buildings. Ships can also transport workers, who can be placed on buildings for additional victory points. At the end of each round, players earn victory points based on the tiles they have placed and the resources they have collected. The player with the most victory points at the end of the game wins.
